iaCME is delighted to announce a new educational initiative which we hope will play a role in helping healthcare professionals implement important learnings from new and emerging safety information on medicines into their professional practice.

The first e-activity associated with the IMB’s Drug Safety Newsletters has just gone live and can be accessed from our website/learning management system (http://learn.iacme.ie/course/se arch.php?search=DSN)

The activity also highlights urgent safety communications from pharmaceutical companies to healthcare professionals, in accordance with the IMB’s newsletter, and provides links to these communications.

The activity is available free of charge to all registered healthcare professionals with iaCME. Future activities will be developed in line with the IMB’s Drug Safety Newsletters. Please note however that while the IMB is in agreement with the use of its DSN for this module, it has not otherwise been involved in the production of it.

Participants will be awarded one CPD credit per hour of activity and if evidence of implementation of learnings into practice can be provided, then CPD credits can be doubled.

The key objectives of the activity are to:

1) enhance awareness of new and emerging safety information on medicines and

2) implement learnings from the IMB’s advice into professional practice.
